Model Cars Magazine is the only model car magazine out there that is written and published by model car hobbyists. Model Cars was started in 1999, and in October 2009, we celebrated our tenth year anniversary. Our online forum is second to none.

eModelCars is back up and running!
That took a while to do, but eModelCars is back up and running.
Sorry about the delay, but I hope you find that it was worth the wait.
The changes are subtle, and it should make the site easier to use.
Been busy lately.
I received some of the new kits from AMT/Round 2 and Revell recently, and boy, have I been a busy guy! I actually started building and painting again, starting with the AMT 2012 Corvette, which is in their Showroom Replicas series. I painted it with the ScaleFinishes.com Ferrari Russo Red paint, and it came out great! 
It was a fun build.
eModelCars is down
Unfortunately, the eModelCars site has been down for a while. I was trying to do an update to it, to include some much needed new features for it, and it went kaboom!
I am trying to get a new system in place, one that has decent customer support (If you are good with PHP Programming, and want to give the current software a try, please let me know). I can't see spending the $3,000 for a whole new system when there is no money being produced by the site at all! It's been free since day one, and I really hope to keep it that way. I may have to switch over to a flat fee based type of site, maybe a dollar per sale, if I can't get this old one to work. We'll see...

Updates and changes to the forum
Due to the recent new server migration, and the mind-blowing stats that we saw while doing the change (over 45,000 unique visitors to modelcarsmag.com per month!!), we did the update of the forum software (www.modelcarsmag.com/forums).
Now, some don't like it, and some love it.
I am working on getting new skins that will work with the updated version so that users have the option to change how the forum looks to them.

Kustom Kemp Contest
Darryl Gassaway is finishing up the final touches on the Model Cars Magazine Kustom Kemp contest and we should have the web page with the finalists on it in the next day or so.

Today I added some more quick reviews to the site. Hopefully I can get all the current kits uploaded by this weekend.

Well, here we go! The new Model Cars Magazine web site is finally up and running. It's about time, I know. Over the course of the next few weeks I'll be adding more content to the site, more pages, more links, more pictures, and just plain old more model cars.
I hope you enjoy it, and I want to thank Richard To for all of his hard work behind the scenes getting the new site up and running.
