  2. AMT Li'l Hot Dogger

Thanks, Casey. I just had to buy another whole kit (already have one in progress) since those you posted already got sold. Need the tires for another model, will use the chassis/drivetrain for something. One hot dogger is enough. Russ
  3. Monogram Porsche 911 slantnose instructions

Thanks from me also Casey. I was not aware that they were related kits either. I know where the Turbo kit is, now if I could just find the slantnose kit in the stash!
  4. Peterbilt fire truck DD powered

    Really turned out nicely.
  5. Tamiya Volvo 850 questions?

Just an FYI, Tamiya also did the sedan version of this car.
  6. Tamiya Volvo 850 questions?

As a fan of Volvos it is sad there have been so few kitted. The 850 kit I have has a busted a-pillar so was pondering a custom build. The 760 engine bay does make you scratch your head and wonder why they would go that close to molding a driveline and then stop. It would be interesting to see what the resin or 3D print aftermarket could do with that - I recall seeing a full engine bay for the Belkits Escort not long ago. Now if they would just do one for the Hase BMW 2002......
  7. 69 Corvette 427

Thanks everyone. It means a lot. Later-
  8. RIP Tom West

You've got be f'ing kidding me!? Honestly, I don't know what to type. I saw him last at the Hot Rod Reunion and Cacklefest here in San Diego last October. I am stunned. Vaya Con Dios, Tom Jesse C.

  19. RIP Tom West

Tom West's family posted on his Facebook Account that Tom passed away today, Saturday February 24, peacefully. Many of us older modelers knew Tom, through his design work, at Aurora Plastics, where he became deeply involved in the evolution of the AFX Ho slot cars, and then the legendary Don Garlits figurine. He then went to MPC, as their product manager, a job he held until MPC was folded into AMT-Ertl in 1967. Tom then began designing high-end diecast model cars, and designed & developed the Galaxie Ltd '48 Chevy kits. Many modelers may be unaware that Tom was an accomplished artist--his paintings and drawings of famous customs, hot rods, and drag cars hang in several museums, including a life-sized "cutaway" drawing of one of the "Swamp Rat" fuel dragsters, that hangs in Don Garlits' museum. I've had the great pleasure of knowing Tom from his days at MPC and beyond--a true great of the model kit industry, and all around cool as well. Art

Ok, decals are on! Time for clear!
  21. I had to ask!

    A real beauty!!
  22. Can't have a Cobra . . .

That's a lame excuse for not owning the real thing. The reason I don't own a Countach, is because I'm too tall. Hope posting my photo doesn't top my quota, so steal while you can. When I attended the IPMS Nationals in 2013, they had a tour to a Shelby museum. It's not blue, but still cool!
  23. Tamiya Mazda 787b

    Great build and awesome detail!!!
  24. Ford LNT 9000

Looks like you are using the Auslowe Ford fuel tanks. I plan on using them on a project too.
  25. 49 Mercury Woody Wagon

Sorry yall for not posting. Been really busy recently. Here is an update. Interior is complete. Satin burgundy with a antique peach inset. I think it came out rather nice. The challenger interior parts really seem to work in the car. I recently picked up the 49 merc by revell with multiple parts. Snagging the smooth bumpers for this one and uding the ribbed bumpers on the 49 coupe.
