simonr Posted March 8, 2007 Share Posted March 8, 2007 This is the Mercedes Benz 300 SL Cabrio by Italeri in 1/24. I painted the model using original Mercedes Benz lacquer Fire Red with no clear. Several plastic parts from the kit where substitued for metal or aluminum ones, as it was the cooling system plumbing. The model was also built for the 2005 GSL XX. As the BMW 850i, it aldo made it to the model cars publications as Model Cars Mag. Like the BMW 850i, it also received a wash and rust paint detail in the bottom.
