A lot of people ask me where I get all my weird, offbeat kits and parts. Right here! I try to swing by at least once a month.

Dean comes to EVERY show we have at Macomb County, twice a year! Never been to his shop, but he DOES have an AMAZEING array of kits to choose from. If he can bring what he does to the shows, his SHOP must be a modelers gold mine! (And he's a nice guy to boot!!!!):D :D

I have been going to his shop for over 15 years now, Thats where I get most of my stuff at, Great Prices , And a great person to deal with. AMT kits run from around $12-15 for the newer stuff, Older stuff is priced accordingly ,Not the high prices thet you pay on e-bay , I would highly recommend buying stuff from him, I found a 69 Barracuda built up in his built up box for $8. That one has the 68 style makerlights on the body, I'm converting it to the 68 using the Small Block Dodge Conversion kit, So I have a total of $23 invested in the car so far.Not $150-$200,I've also found some really good stuff in those boxes also. Visit his website and get rare stuff at half the price other places. I'm not only a customer,But I'm also really good friends with him.

I've been there a couple times when I used to go to the Detroit Auto show; I always found some great stuff and some great prices. It helps that I like foreign/exotic kinds of cars, aka the ones that can't sell in Michigan, so the prices were very nice indeed on some hard-to-find items.

Nice to hear they are still in business..I used to go there a few times a year when I lived in Ann Arbor in the mid '90s. Riders in downtown A2 and on Carpenter Rd were my regular local shops back then.

Oh, fun fact time!

Remember the scene in Apollo 13, where Tom Hanks has the model rocket and is explaining to his son how it works? The kit that model was built from came from Dean's.
