Exactly, my local paint store can put the DuPont 44490 pepper gray metallic in a spray can. It is they're chroma base base coat, and will need to be clear coated. But is not cheap, a 16 oz can for $31.

As Ryan suggested, a good paint house can mix any color you want and have it installed into a paint can on-site. As he states though, it isn't cheap. Mine here will do it for me, and it is something like $28.

If I get a chance this week , there is a sheramn williams close by, I will see if they can get the paint for me. Now what about the stirpes? , will I need to get that mixed as well, or is there something already in a can ?

Stripes are just basic Black, but give me a second and I will get you the Dupont Fleet # for them too.

Dupont Fleet 44435 for the stripes.

Haha not to be a thorn in the side, the stripes are black metallic, I hope to tape these off and get them as close to the correct size as possible. I think I'm gonna attempt to use a model paint for this, either testors or tamiya. I'm gonna test shoot all this paint to make sure there is no unwanted reactions.

Any metallic black should work. Either duplicolor, testors, tamiya, all those are already in a spray can. I'm gonna try either duplicolor or tamiya tomorrow and see if it works ok over the spray can pepper gray, I will post how it goes afterwards.

I got a chance to try out the pepper gray and the clear coat i bought with it from the local paint supply shop. This is on a useless body and quickly taped off to add the metallic black stipes. Now, this has duplicolor filler primer, the paint shop pepper gray, testors black metallic, then the paint shop clear coat. It only has 2 light coats of clear and has this glossy of a finish. There was no unwanted reactions between the different brands of paint, and I would recommend this method of getting the pepper gray, works very well and fast.

Yay, the GT 350 kit came today, so I can start working on one of them :D.

Ryan, that looks great, I like it, like it alot, I am going to make a trip to the paint store tomorrow, or what I am thinking too, is using this as an excuss to get a airbrush system :D

I have to decided to change engines on this one, putting in a NASCAR ford engine from a Revell NASCAR kit, not sure if I am going to use the air cleaner that came with the GT350, or use the cold air box from the NASCAR engine.

What tires will work for the eleanor wheels?,

I'm not sure exactly what tires fit the Eleanor wheels, by my lhs has Pegasus wheel/ tire combos in stock, so I was gonna take an Eleanor wheel with me and compare and see what would work.

I can tell you that pegasus 225/45/18 tires are just a tad to big, the wheel fits, but its lose, and over all the tire is almost to big to fit in the wheel wells, I will get a pic posted.

I had the body painted, but I needed to sand some debris out, then ran out of paint, so I am stripping and going to paint it a different color now, I was going to paint it blue.

Here is what I have got done so far

On the left is a eleanor wheel in a pegasus tire, on the right the wheel is in a tire from revells mini cooper kit
