The Revell ProModeler version is FAR superior.

I'll keep that in mind, thanks for the info

...did you address the back of the hood? The corners dont come to a point and im trying to brainstorm how to go about that issue, as filler would probably snap the first time i touch it.

I had the same problem with a RevMono 1968 Firebird and solved it my own way. I have a jar of dissolved parts tree sprues (dissolved in ethyl acetate) that I use as putty sometimes. I like it because it blends in with the styrene of the actual piece I'm working on. It also stays as flexible as the surrounding material.

To make a "mold" you could cover the corners of the engine compartment with BMF. The styrene goo doesn't stick to the outer surface very much. Then you just put the hood in place and push some styrene goo into the voids. Let it harden, carefully loosen the hood and trim and sand It and you probably won't be able to see that there was anything wrong with it from the start. If the edges are very thin you could always sand them a bit to get a little more surface to stick to. You could also "prime" the surface prior to pushing the goo in. Just put some ethyl acetate on with a brush and let it melt the surface a bit first.

It worked for me, anyway. :)

Thanks Paul!! It's almost ready for paint but I have no idea what color I want to go with. I have the interior painted in semi-gloss black (pictures later) so it will have to go with the interior color.

Pearl White with a Red tail & stripe? I can't remember ever seeing a White Daytona.

I saw a White Charger 500 with a red stripe and fell in love with it.

How about Silver with a Candy Blue wing & stripe? Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the replies fellas. I got the majority of the bodywork completed but there are a few more spots I want to take care of. I'll resume progress once I get my hobby area set up in the garage. Here's a few pictures...

Looks good so far man.
The bodywork required on this thing is just too much for some people to tackle.
I haven't tried it as of yet, but I'll probably break mine out one of these days.

Thanks guys. It will never win any contests but I at least tried to get the body close to what I found on Google and in a couple of books I researched. As long as it looks the part, I'm cool with it. B)
