i just saw this thread and started at the end. i thought this was 1/8th scale. uh...nope! this is just incredible work on that frame and suspension!

found this thread ..............and when i started i could not believe my eyes .. just when you think you can build a decent model yourself , you see stuff like this :)
this thread is sooo inspiring , stuff like this pushes you to incorporate more and more detail in your own work

Just a small update before I shut down my workbench for a while. This grille sorrund from the Revell kit are modified a little bit to give it a more accurate touch.

Update on this ride. Hmm...last post 06 dec 2012. :huh:

 

Hilborn buildup from Evergreen rods and photoetch washers. I made one master, then made a mold and cast a couple in resin.

...it was a little bit tricky to get the smooth rounded shape on the rollcage, but finaly after some tryes, i got it right.
