Bob, thanks for the tip (and great to see another CT guy).  I called the NAPA in Bristol and Watertown, neither carry it now.  Oh well, might either have to try going to Duplicolor or order it on Amazon.

Advance Auto Parts has Duplicolor on sale through the end of the month.  I was a Plastikote fan until the prices went through the ceiling and harder to get.  The Duplicolor sprays much finer.

CarQuest is the only place in my area that carries Plastikote, :(

And yes, the price has gone up. I haven't tried Duplicolor primer in many years, but since I live right next door to an Advanced Auto, I'll definitely be giving it a try again down the road. I airbrush everything, so I'm not to concerned how it comes out the can. ;)

Crazyjim...have you had any problems with the Duplicolor crazing?

My CarQuest has it too.... Funny, I go in there all the time but for some reason walk right by the paint!

None at all with any of the Duplicolor primers, and I shoot HOK paint on top.

From what I have heard, Plastikote and Duplicolor are owned by the same manufacturer. I believe they have phased out the Plastikote line.  Pep Boys used to stock it, but now has Duplicolor in it's place.  I've always used Duplicolor gray primer on everything. Never had a problem with it with any paint whatsoever.
