Body in primer, and engine getting done before the body--what is the world coming to in the Lab-RAT-ory? LOL.

Time to work on the engine with some modernizing parts:

EYEGORE always gets the firing order wrong because he says it really makes everyone aware the Doctor doesn't know anything about building engines. LOL.

Drilled out that hole on the carb because it was a sink mark, so now I will put some sort of gizmo on there.

Rolling chassis and engine almost ready:

My new favorite color for these chassis now is Anthracite Grey Metallic. Love it.

It's PLANET GREEN by House of Kolor. It goes great with Organic Green Kandy. Thanks.

Mocking the body:

I mock mine all the time, too. Not very fulfilling, though...plastic tends to lack the capacity for witty retort.

Nice truck, btw.

Looking very nice, doctor. The steering wheel is very cool - PE? I always thought you're supposed to paint the rear fenders separate from the box.

Haha! I was thinking almost the same thing!

And the truck is looking pretty good.

Jim, I've tried both ways, and I always ended liking this way with the fenders already in place.

I'm also using House of Kolor which allows me to get in there close to all the panel lines and crevices, and goes on thin. I would not recommend this way for enamel paint jobs, although I am sure someone like Donn Y. would be able to do it just fine.

Getting the base coat on . . . and also on a few plastic spoons to practice the real flames technique.

Stay tuned in.

Ohhhhhh. True flames. I like those puppies. Fatkidd does a fantastic job on them. He might even be doing a tutorial on them for Iwata.
