Excellent builds! This was very nice to read through. Needs to bookmark it for reference when I will start hacking with mine. The kit sure does build up very nice.

These are spectacular builds.

Anyone notice a typo on the rear fender decals? They say LABOR DAY STEP. 4
The 1:1 reference shows it's supposed to be SEPT. 4, which should be easy enough to fix with a little knife work.

Also, if the goal is to be authentic to the 1:1, shouldn't "GRIFFIN MOTORS ENTRY" be on the left front fender?

We're submitting an article to MCM concerning further detailing for the stock car, which will include additions to the markings.

The race car in the photo has a license plate on it. Was that car street driven?

In those days it wasn't uncommon for the cars to be driven to and from the track.

True dat.

There are even stories about cars being purchased off the dealer's lot just in time to be driven to the track, tuned up, and raced!

if you add stuff, add two hood lockdowns visible in that front end pic above. those are ultra kool...they kinda look like they are somehow part of the chrome valance thing.

thats a super build, pair of em actually! neat to see what this new kit will build into!

I really don't know how I missed these builds, but I've just read and thoroughly enjoyed it, I love your clean building style and will put this kit down on the want's list ....

A few folks are reporting engine/chassis/inner fender clearance issues...some have even contacted Revell about it...did you notice anything like this during your builds?
