Was really disappointed by the lack of support from the aftermarket companies. Small turnout for the model contest. I did take a third with my Kenworth. The winner was the Willys.

what took 2nd and congrats!

Really, they always say it's like a " circus " but that's their own fault, heck, they have a coffin with their faces on it that you can buy!!!?? But that's ok, I'm still a die-hard fan!!! As for that Dragon Wagon, I bet you could sit on it and go for a ride!!!!! That thing is AWESOME!!!!

I passed on going at the last minute, I even had a bunch of models to display. I talked to my local hobby shop owner on Friday night and he said it sucked, so I stayed home. Too bad, I was really looking forward to it. I thought about just going up to hang out with you Cleveland guys, but I decided the trip from Columbus was too far to justify. I'm heading up the the IPMS show next month.

Wasnt the Belvedere in the movie Christine a 1957 Plymouth Belvedere ? I sure hope so as I actually have a restored 1:1 57 Belvedere because of that Movie. Painted identical and all. Would suck if its actually a 58 lol.

No, Christine was a '58 Belvedere, though many sources mistakingly call her a "Sport Fury".

You have a car because of a movie but you aren't sure what car is actaully in the movie?

That's like having a Wayne's World Pinto, Back to the Future Chevette, or a Mad Max Holden Commodore.

Dont forget THE DOH Challenger or the Smokey and the Bandit Fire Bird.

The cars used in the movei were Belvederes and Savoys. Also, in 1958, the Fury was only available in Beige and Gold, not red and white, which was a Blevedere/Savoy combination. The trim on the car is also incorrect for a Fury.
Here's a screenshot from the movie

compare that to an actual Fury.

Notice the gold trim and different hubcaps. The mirrors are also different.

Ill take photos and post them. I got the 1957 because thats what was available to me. I thought thats what it was. However I seen someone mention that the kit was a 58.

The C600 has been discussed over on Spotlight. It's been determined that the picture on the box is actually a 1/34 scale 1rst Gear diecast.

I thought that I have seen this before. The box says 1/25 as I grumble ! LOL

I'm aware that she was supposed to be a special order color Fury in the book, and that she was also supposed be a 4 door. That just show that King didn't do the research when he wrote the book, in 1958, the Fury was only available as a 2 door.

So what is actually in the box? 1/43, 1/25, whats on the box, or the same c-600 we already have?

But... why? What would be the motivation to put out a model kit box of a 1/34 diecast? To what purpose?

Nothing at this point. They don't have a test shot ready to display, so they dressed up an existing model (1/43 scale First Gear in this case), airbrushed the image a bit, and used the box to display/show what the box art (and built model) will look like.

Maybe Round2 will put out some info regarding the kit(s) soon, as their website is not even close to current.

According to what's been found out, it will be the same C600 kit as the stake bed truck, just with a box instead of the stake. No one seems to be sure why they chose the diecast for the box art.

The C600 has been out a few times with a box, I guess it will be a reissue of one of these kits.

And a new, earlier cab, as shown?
