This is my attempt at making a 1968 Shelby G.T.350 convertible. I called it Frankenstein's Shelby because it's made up of three kits. I used the body, tires and interior from the 68 Shelby GT500 kit, the platform, suspension, engine, transmission, and GT350 stripes from the 67 GT350, and the trunk from a 68 Mustang Coupe.

I have the rear kick panels from the 68 coupe attached to the door panels from the 68 Shelby

To be true to what I'm building I swapped out the 428 for the 302 (which is the 289 from the 67 Shelby). The air filter wasn't fitting right so I used some plastic stock to remedy it

after I cut the seats from the center counsel I didn't like how low they were sitting so I put some round stock under them to make it look better

The only one I know of comes pre-painted and seated but it is 1/24 scale. It comes in this kit.

This is the first shot of red (Italian Red) you cant see it but the primer is still visible in some of the deeper areas (door jambs, around the scoops etc...)

As some of you have seen in the Q&A post about repainting a modle...well that that's the one the 56 Ford Panel Van. I'm going to paint it white and put the Shelby racing logo on it and attach a trailer to it.

It's starting to come together. The interior panels and the hood had to be stripped and re-painted.
The engine and and the rest of the drive train got put in.

I got the interior together today. I wish i had looked at the decales more carefully. The door decals were already layed out to where they needed to be on the door panel. I didnt think about that on the first door panel and cut it out piece by piece.
