unclescott58 Posted May 26, 2014 Share Posted May 26, 2014 oh that Monte brings back memories, that is the first car that I have a recollection of in my family, A big white boat with red vinyl top. that car was a beast I owned a '77 white Monte with a red Landau roof. My sister had a '79 Monte the same color as the '79 model shown here. At the time she had her's, I thought those third generation Montes were ugly. As time moves on, those '78 and '79 Monte Carlos don't look so bad any more. I was never a big fan of looks of second generation Monte either. Despite owning one. If I were to go for a second gen Monte, it would be its first year, 1973. The Monte I've always like from day one, were first generation. Especially the '70. Still I need to build a '77 someday. I have original promos of the '78 and '79. And I have the most recent kit AMT did several years ago of the 1970. Now if somebody would do a nice '73, I'd be happy.
