Anybody up for a non-part related model trivia topic in this section? I will post the first part, and once the correct answer is posted, the person who was first to answer correctly will post a new part, and the game continues.

Here are the guidelines:

1) Please be sure you know the correct answer.

2) Be sure you check in daily so that you can see if the correct answer is posted. If the correct answer has been posted, please CONFIRM the correct guess so the game can move forward.

3) Providing clues or hints is up the person posting the part, but hopefully post questions which deal with  extremely obscure or rarely seen models. Everybody likes a challenge, but the goal is to correctly answer the question, not prove you know more than everyone else.

8) If you're the first person to guess correctly, please have the next/new question ready to post within 48 hours. If no new part is posted within 48 hours of a confirmed correct answer, anyone is free post a new question to keep things moving along. If there have been no new hints nor guesses posted and we still do not have a correct answer after five days, anyone is free to post a new question, and we will consider the previous question finished.

First question: Hho was Tyrone Bachnagel?

If yes, who was Tyrone Bachnagel was.

I'd be interested. I can answer this one, but I cheated and googled.

Cheater!  <_<   Maybe it's too obscure?

I would be up for it. Would it just be like pop culture, automotive, music, ect?Or would it just be everything that isn't a model part?

No, this would be model car/truck/motorcycle kit related trivia, but it wouldn't be a parts identification type thread like the other topic in this section.

Did he invent injection molding?

Nope. He didn't exist beyond a sheet of paper, or outside of Dave Deal's mind.  ^_^

I'm a big fan of Dave Deal's artwork but without looking in my library I have no idea who he is .

This type of trivia would be fun but could get pretty obscure .  Maybe each question would also have a hint with it ?

And of course " No Cheating " !

Agreed.

Also agreed. I don't know if Googling is really cheating, though, as I've had to use Google to try and find answers to many of the kit parts trivia posts. As long as we get correct answers and the topic keeps moving along, it should be fine...so Don should probably answer this one now since he was the first to answer.

Tyrone Bachnagel was the "driver" in Revell's Deal's Wheels Bug Bomb kit.
