Here's a quick look inside the 1995 reissue of the Tom Daniel-designed 1/24 Monogram Cherry Bomb show rod: http://modelkitrevie...gned-tom-daniel

I had that kit back in the day when it was new. I really liked the bike. This kit could be a good springboard to a cool custom build.

I had this kit back in the day too.  I seem to recall it having green glass. I am sure I received it as a gift - My heart has always been in nitro burners and muscle cars.

Ah the Cherry Bomb! As a youngster in the seventies I was a huge Tom Daniel fan. Out of all the kits I bought in a year at least every other one was a Daniel kit. My favorites were the Vandal, Dogcatcher (would LOVE to see that one again!) and the BomB. Like many guys I bought it for the chopper. As a matter of fact the Cherry chopper was my first real attempt at a modification. For as chintzy as it can seem parts wise, it's still a kit that stands the test of time like many of Tom's kits. Thanks for the nostalgia kick. :)

The original issue had green tinted clear parts, as did other TD-designed kits from the early '70s.
