Introducing my latest labor of love, "Big Red." Started life as a two-wheel drive gas truck, until I got a hold of it!

The list of modifications and scratch-built items is pretty long, but I'll do my best to sum it up:

  • Front grill modified to fit custom bumper
  • Front bumper built with evergreen flat stock and diamond plate
  • Craft wire tow hooks
  • Tow-mirrors
  • Lift kit components including all brackets, leaf spring mounts, steering stablizer, shocks and mounts
  • Transfer case mount and crosmember
  • Front and rear "Dana 80 Axles" with breathers
  • Driveshafts
  • Cummins engine swap (Diecast crane donor)
  • Engine/transmission mounts
  • 5 inch turbo back exhaust with 10 inch miter cut stack
  • Cold air kit
  • Exhaust heat shields
  • Windshield banner
  • Tint
  • Body color rear bumper
  • Camo headliner
  • Color matched interior accents
  • Pintle hitch (parts box) with scratch built mount
  • Train horns

Slightly lowered Ranger Splash

Because I didn't have enough projects, I decided to start another! I built the backhalf a while ago with a parts box rear and evergreen rod, I didn't want your average C-notch:

I threw some spikes in for good measure

I stole the wheels off the Revell custom 99 Silverado, with a little black wash

Then I got the bodywork done, starting with shaved handles:

a molded-in roll pan:

and last but not least....... a cowl hood entirely too big for a truck with no body drop and a stock motor:

Stay tuned....paint and interior next!

Outlaw Drag Radial Mustang

Older build, I can't remember If I ever posted it here. Pretty simple it's a snap kit, so there's no motor or chassis detail. It was just a fun build that went together pretty quick.

Loosely based on BoostedGT's car from Street Outlaws. The scoop was scratch-built from sheet plastic, evergreen tube was used for the turbo inlets in the front bumper.

The wing was scratch-built also. Wheels and tires came from the parts box.

I also added a parachute and mount, pull cable, battery cut off, as well as charging posts. The rear tag reads UL LOSE.
