My 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS build...

10 November 2013 - 07:51 AM

Figured I would start posting more around here. I haven't been able to get much work done and there are some days I am more motivated then others. So I have put some work into my 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS kit. I was able to procure some much needed stock wheels from Scuderia (thanks again!!!) since my set went MIA. I decided I was going to add a wood base to the kit. I am using a piece of cut Styrofoam to be used as a stretch of sidewalk. I am then going to mount a piece of picket fence I found at Wally World in the craft section that I am cutting to fit. So when the base and car is done, it is going to look like it's parked out on the street in front of the white picket fence and sidewalk...

Best aftermarket supplier

25 February 2013 - 06:12 AM

By experience, who is the best aftermarket supplier. I am thinking along the lines of like diorama and detail parts. I've always wanted to build a garage diorama, a used car lot diorama, or a junk diorama. There was a company I thought was called Scale Ltd., but I am not able to find it. They had figures and office equipment for super detailing. Any information would be helpful.

My only NASCAR build (just the shell).

Here is my Dale Jr. Budweiser build from about 4 years ago. All that remains of it anyway. The chassis went the rest of the way when my angry then ex-wife threw all my stuff in the dump when we separated... Lots of built model cars and military kits all in an Ohio Landfill somewhere....*sigh*100_2546_zpsf4e3bafb.jpg100_2545_zps969b9b33.jpg100_2548_zps9ecf0296.jpg100_2547_zps2a01e83e.jpg

1941 Ford Woody

21 February 2013 - 07:51 AM

Hey all,

Figured I'd start my first thread since I am a newbie here. I am looking forward to following plenty of threads here seeing your porjects evolve. Always enjoy learning from others. Been a long time since I have built anything, took a very long hiatus from the hobby and like I have in my life, I am now starting over. My first auto project is going to be an AMT 1941 Ford Woody. I will upload some photos as soon as I can take a few. I do enjoy building military models, dioramas and vignettes.
