...Everything about this kit's development echos what I heard from another member regarding the '90 Mustang LX's (sorry Ckuck K., had to be mentioned ) development, so I see no reason to doubt this 1/25 '84 Cutlass kit is anything but due for release before the end of 2015.

Doubters gonna doubt.

Y'all see that? It was Casey this time!

Eh, who am I foolin'. I'm always up for clay pigeons.  B)

Honestly, though, we're gonna be waaay better off even with the retro-design 60-piece proposal that's been floating around than we would have been with that krap-tastic slab-sided monstrosity circulated in old flyers and the odd test shot pic, long as the body shell actually looks like the 1:1.  Just bring it in at a standard to match the Regal GN, and all should be well.

17s as pictured on the box, but reduced to a scale 15". Don't think anybody's ever done those 16s.  As I recall, it's not just that the front sat too high, but that the wheels also stuck out too far from the body work, and that seemed true of many of AMT's contemporary subjects at the time.

This is the promo that was also available as a snap kit. Sits way better, but in the wheels, it's representative:

Pros: Body more accurate than Revell/Monogram's.  Only place to get the passenger car 2-valve 4.6 mod motor. Snazzy box, first time seen in 16, 17 years.

Cons: Ain't seen a one built without a ridiculous stance - suspension likely needs re-enigineering, 'specially up front. From the era where AMT treated EVERY tire as 15"; no original Gatorbacks in this reissue, GS-Cs instead - and no assurance you'll get two of the right tires and two of the left.

I agree!  I'll take mine in black.

This. This this this, OH THIS.

There's a clean Ivory/Saddle '69 vinyl-top up for sale at the local grocer, looks close enough I gotta fight the fever every time I see it.

Not sure about the integrated helmet.  Everything else is just stunning to me, the first genuine beauty in F1 in quite some time.
