While I had the paintbooth up and running, I painted the Ford GT. Looks good, but there are many body parts to this model! I hope got them all!
-
I added the hood to the rest of the car and it is tight! I may leave as it is instead of trying to loosen it up.

Thanks for the message, but I have some made from clear packing material. Thanks anyway! -
Thanks Carl! I'm sure it is worth some money for it.

Like I said, it was a gift and a surprise gift it was. I had no idea that it was coming and boy, did he deliver! I just need to get back to it and finish it.
-
Nothing right now. Just a stand alone build. To be assembled and painted and displayed.

Michael, I sent you a PM. -
Thanks Carl and Anton!

This was a gift from Jeff Elliott of the Classic Plastic Model Club. It is a 392 Hemi that was printed. In all, it took me about 10 minutes to get the engine block and the oil pan separated and assembled with superglue. It took a bit of cutting and sanding to get these parts together. This is gonna take a while.

I found this article in Scale Auto to be very informative. It is on the assembly of the Tamiya Ford GT which I have. It is in the April 2019 issue of Scale Auto No. 250.

Thanks Lei and Carl! -
With the start of the 24 Hours of Le Mans today, I decided to start my Ford GT model build. My paint will be Tamiya TS-50 Mica Blue. I am undecided if I want to use the center stripes as I do like the car with and without them. If I do use them, I'll go with the white stripes.
