MCM Ohana (6/6)

  1. I've been painting and assembling again. Just a little bit at a time! The instructions say to mount the lights above the grille guard, but I decided to mount the lights below the grille guard.
  2. I've been doing some painting and assembling today.
  3. I was worried that the decals would disintegrate as soon as they hit the water. But, alas they didn't! The decals did take a little longer to come off the paper backing, but I expected that would happen. Now to clearcoat the body when the decals are dry.
  4. Unfortunately, that is not what I have learned. You are the first to dispute what I have learned. I'm not saying you or I are wrong. Maybe one of us got a piece of bad information, I don't know.
  5. Well, thanks to all who have spoken with their choices. We are not talking about the standard tire, but what was required for the upgraded engine choice.
  6. The Hemi cars came with 15" wheels and not 14" wheels. Of all of the Chargers shown on this page, they are 440s, not Hemis. The more I look at the box art, the more I want to go green. I'm going with Testors Green Go!
  7. I won this kit during the Club raffle last Saturday afternoon. I was able to find the proper 15" Rallye Road Wheels in my stash for this Hemi Charger. Now I want to build it! I have plenty of Testors Hemi Orange paint in my paint drawer, but the box art is calling out to me. What should I do?
  8. The 345 CI 4-barrel V8 is complete with wiring and an ignition coil.
  9. Thanks Jeff! I hope the decals are still good as well. I separated the parts that I have to paint flat black. The front grille, gas cap and the bumpers. The engine is nearing completion.
  10. Thank you Donato, David and Carl! This is the only kit that I have seen with a standard engine and not the optional big block, big horsepower engine.
  11. Thank you David, Stuart, Michael, Mike, Bob and Rusty! I'm surprised that this model had the small block engine in it. Usually, it is a big block engine. Possibly a 409!
  12. There are no mold lines on the body! Otherwise, I would paint it!
  13. I assembled the wheels and tires and the basic engine which I will paint red. I am also prepping the body for decals and clearcoat.
  14. I will show my latest build. 2010 Ford F-150 Raptor. Painted with Testors Hemi Orange and built out-of-box.
