- Building kits since I was 7 years old. Lean toward Revell/Monogram 1/24-1/25th scale releases. Interested in some of the "classic" AMT kits: Ala Kart Parts,
- Been going back over the basics and am using a big yellow can of oven cleaner to strip chrome. It seems most paints breakdown using the oven cleaner and others dissolve overnight in 91% isopropyl alcohol. This is essential for the following bullet point.
- Really enjoying how to master an airbrush I bought a year ago at a large craft store. Learning which paint and primers to mix with their respective thinners.
- Projects currently on the workbench: a pair of AMT 1929 Ford Roadsters (one is a turquoise and chrome T-top for a surfing diorama and the other is Purpl-iscious with a nicely detailed engine, a 1941 Willys street rod, a 1932 Ford coupe (chopped and channeled) and lots of ideas...
