Help with RMOM and other stuff

12 January 2011 - 05:10 PM

I am interested in getting a SCOT blower from Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland. Need to find the info though? Also, looking for about the best 2bbl Strombergs I can find. Need three of them! Any suggestions? Thanks.

Shop Truck

31 December 2010 - 03:20 PM

A couple of peeps and I are doing a "Shop Truck" build off for fun. My build, a 29 Ford Closed Cab. My truck will be just a fun advertisement for the shop! I have not set in stone the wheels and rims just yet. But I am leaning towards these wheels. Motor I am thinking the parts pack Pontiac? The only thing I do know of so far is how the frame is done! LOL. From the rear of the front cross member back is all scratch built. I am supposed to have this one finished by April Fools day! Wish me luck! Between still trying to find a job and the new work load on me with this new fixer upper house, I will need it! LOL. ( By the way, I have enough bad luck, so dont wish me none unless its all good! ROFLMBO!) P.S. Sorry for the pics. The lighting in this place sucks and I could not find a setting where it liked it, so I shot them anyways. Thanks for looking.

Operation Santa

24 October 2010 - 04:34 PM

I have done this two years in a row now where I ask for donations of preferably snap kits either new in sealed box or new in open box. Step one glue kits are alright as well. Last year we had about a dozen given to us and they all went to good homes and we had a blast having a modeling session where I got a chance to work individually with all kids to show them how to put them together and peak their interests in the hobby. I had two come back later and ask for another model which I did right out of my tiny collection. What a great feeling it was to give these kids a model and to see their eyes just light up and sparkle as they put them together and played with them when they got done! There are very few feelings better then this! What better way to know that you can touch someones life in our hobby which seems to be slowing all of the time as kids give way to playing game boxes and computers. I feel great to know that I can impact a child's life and show them that there is something other then game machines to enjoy and to even possibly spark a love life of cars! So again this year, I am asking for any help in this operation. Whether it is sending me a kit or two, or sending me funds to get kits with as one person had done last year! I am involved with a larger church this year, and still active in Scouts, so trust me when I say I could put them to use. In all honesty, if I got 60, I could put them to use! I don't know about any more then that? LOL. But just saying, any and all that you guys want to help out with, I can find a good home for! So lets see what ya got. Just PM me what ya got and let me know when its shipped so I can watch for it. Thanks. Jody

Project Willys Panel

21 October 2010 - 03:45 PM

Some time ago, Grandpa Mcgurk from TDR Innovations sent me a willys panel for a group build. When I stripped it, the putty on the body disolved and the body litterally fell to pieces! Kinda like me LOL. I used a new rear end to closely replicate it again. It has since sat there on my shelf. My promise was to make sure it got finished and a few people got involved. A few people had voiced interest, then it all like disappeared? I like to think of myself as a man of my word. So since models have basically all gone into boxes waiting hopefully for our move into the new home sometime this century, I have decided its time to see who else will want to work on it for a while before it gets all completely forgotten about! I have the frame and some other parts for it. Concept was for different people to work on it and see what comes out of it! In the end something special is to heppen to the model. Again, this was something that was Grandpa's idea and I wish to keep the idea going as promised.Sorta like the project snowball. But hopefully with better results. So who wants the next turn on it wether its massaging the body, building a motor, doing the interior, chassis whatever. Thanks. Jody

I will be down for a while

10 August 2010 - 02:57 AM

I will be out of the modeling scene for a long while, not sure how long. But, the soon to be adminastrator of the wifes late step father has agreed on a price for house and contents. We had the legal purchase offer made yesterday with $8,000 down on a $10,000 home. We are shooting for a closeing date of September 1st. The house does need a bunch of work before we move in! Also, besides house work, I also will be obtaining a 1:1 project I will be spending my money and time on. here are some pictures. In the interum, I will be watching every one elses great projects and dreaming! LOL. Thanks.
To show where my priorities sit, heres the important one to me first. HEHEHEHE. The I believe 1962 triumph TR3( B).
