Locked out of My Thread

29 August 2014 - 01:05 PM

I'm locked out of my thread about the Beck Pavement Sprinter. I didn't cuss, call anyone names, post lewd pictures and do anything I haven't done for the last two years here. What is the problem? I'm sure this will get deleted fast so hopefully someone will see it and fix the situation.

1974 Beck Pavement Sprinter

05 June 2014 - 02:34 AM

I'm starting another sprint car for a client in Vegas. He had this Beck sprint car restored 3 years ago and had been going all over racing it in vintage shows. He contacted me about buildinga replica last summer and we were to meet up at a race in Calif, in July. The week before, he was racing his sprinter and destroyed it and himself. He was in a hospital, up in Oregon, for months, before being released to go home. These vintage sprint cars really interest me. This one has a bolt on cage, buggy spring front with torsion bars at the rear. Beautiful car. The model will have injectors not a carb like the real one had.

RJ Johnson's 2013 USAC Champion

25 November 2013 - 02:49 AM

I'm lucky enough to have been asked to build the sprint car driven by RJ Johnson, this year, to a Southwest USAC championship. As always it's 1/8 scale, scratch built. I met the owners at the last race, last weekend in Peoria AZ. I started drawing plans the Sunday after that last race. Built the frame and body in 1 weeks time. This is a Sherman chassis with a Roush/ Yates Ford 360 motor.

Building A 1/8 Scale Model of a !/4 Scale Model

27 October 2013 - 06:10 AM

I've been asked to make an 1/8 scale model of a 1/4 scale midget model that Bob McCoy built years ago. This car sells for $12,500 currently. It is very well done and will be a good challenge to make something close to his in a smaller scale.

JJ Yelley's 02 USAC Sprinter

02 September 2013 - 06:00 AM

I've started building an 1/8 scale model of JJ Yeley's USAC car for the AZ Open Wheel Museum in Phoenix. Here's the rear car and where I am after a week of working on it.
