A little help with my new 'Cuda please...

01 July 2014 - 06:57 AM

I'd like to build up the new S&M Pro Stock Barracuda kit into a super stocker using the hood and scoop from the sister kit.  Something like the Ramchargers SS/DA shown on Ratnasty's recent post in the Aftermaket forum.

I understand the class designations but I am having trouble finding information regarding general super stock rules from the early '70's.

I am curious about things like:

- headers and exhaust - I think headers are OK but can they be open or must they be routed through the stock exhaust?

- interior - is a back seat required?

- type of roll cage required?

- rear tire max. width?

-  any engine mods allowed?

- etc.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Competition Resins

04 February 2014 - 07:08 AM

I just wanted give a shout out for Comp Resins.  I've been buying (and using) parts and bodies from Roger off and on for over ten years and I have always been pleased.  Yesterday I just received a box of various drag goodies just a few days after placing my order.  Every single piece is top notch!  Check him out if you haven't already.  Ken

'66 Chevelle Delivery Sedan

'66 Chevelle Delivery Sedan.  Body was converted from a four-door station wagon to a two-door delivery sedan.  I swapped out the bench seat for some buckets and did a wheel and tire swap.  Otherwise, build is mostly out of the box.  Hope you like it.

Motown Missile - '71 Challenger

03 September 2013 - 05:08 AM

I know it's far from accurate, but here is my take on the '71 Challenger Motown Missile Pro Stocker. The body and seats are from Competition Resins, the hood scoop and wheelie bar assembly are scratch built and the hood pins are from Pro-Tech. Just about everything else is parts box salvage.
