Amt White-Freightliner

25 May 2014 - 04:38 AM

After I finish my Road Boss my next possible project will be a replica of my Fathers 1:1 1972 White-Freightliner,it will need to be converted to the older "stirrup-step" cab style, and I will also need another engine, as it was powered by a 1693 Cat. I know the AMT kit is not an easy one to build, but can be made into a decent replica with some time and effort, has anyone here backdated the cab? looking for ideas on how to proceed,......................Mark

Engine/filter decals

01 May 2014 - 10:47 AM

I have seen several set of engine detail decal sets available from different vendors, both generic (Wix,Fram,Fleetguard etc.) as well as Mack, Cummins, Detroit Diesel but no Caterpillar, how come? is it a licensing issue? I am still looking for a Mack detail sheet with the different model numbers I.E. B-61,Thermodyne,Diesel scripts etc.................................Mark

New to the forums

25 April 2014 - 03:22 PM

Hello all! been a "lurker" here for quite some time, finally decided to officially join! My name is Mark,i am a career long distance truckdriver (3rd generation) and have been amassing kits and building materials for many years, actually just getting back into building after probably 30 years! I am still overwhelmed at all the new (to me anyway) techiques, building materials and overall advancements in our hobby! I am a "Mack Man" both by trade and design, and can offer advise, tips and information on all things truck! Lol! especially Macks, both current and vintage. My interests also run to vintage drag, replica stock cars. I decided to "get my feet wet" with the re-released AMT White Road Boss my wife got me for Christmas last year,i will post some pictures in the truck section............please bear with me, as I am NOT the most computer literate person out there!.................Mark
