CMC 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta

Before I got back into building model cars again. I bought a lot of high diecast and this is one of my favorites.

Made from more than eleven hundred separate pieces.

Materials used include leather, copper, brass, steel, zamac, and cloth.

Hand-spoked Borrani wheels with stunning detail.

Opening trunk, doors, hood, and gas door.

Working front coil and rear leaf spring suspension.

Knock off wheels.

Fully-plumbed disc brakes.

Incredibly detailed undercarriage.

Copper and steel wire underneath, rivited into place with metal, perfectly replicate the connections to the brakes, emergency brake, transmission, and rear.

The stamped-copper hood opens on a friction strut.

The detail of the V-12 Ferrari engine under the hood is simply amazing.

The interior reveals more incredible detail. With real leather seats and door panels, all hand-stitched.

I wish I could build them like this.

Looking at the size of the pavers, I'd say it's 1/18 th scale? It's VERY nice. Those CMC models are the Cat's patoot!

This one is 1:18 scale. I have 9 CMC's and everyone is a work of art. They are so nice, the wife let's me display them in glass cases in the living and that's saying a lot.
