gunner
WOW!!!! Simply stunning work, you really know your subject and can bring them to life. What did you use for the 40mm rounds in that one display? Was the gun a scratch build also?
tiking
Thanks. The CIWS was scratch build using everything from househould items as well as wood, metal and styrene. The scale is 1/20, roughly. This was my first try at scratch building back in 2002.

michael1969
awesome builds and they do bring back memories. The Nebraska Army National Guard still has the m113 and m577. I still need to find a m113, and a m901. I really like your m113a3 and your m577.
tiking
Thanks Michael. These old models were really great to build.

tiking
This is another older build I found in my archives: This gun Truck was lucky, in the sense that no one got hurt. The explosive did not do a colossal amount of damaged; but it was enough to blow off the left front tire clean off it's axle as well as exploded into the engine compartment severing, some major mechanical parts. The Extra armor under the driver compartment took some of the impact, as you can see by the indentation of the armor. The force jolted the truck causing storage to fall off sporadically onto the near by dirt. I am still working on this so it is still n unfinished work. Need to destroy the left headlight and make small damage areas on the truck around the damaged area. Need to rearrange some of the stuff on the truck to look the part. So this is just an overall view of what it will look like. Edited July 30, 2011 by tiking

David G.
I don't even know where to begin. Your work is just flat out amazing. Aside from the level of detail and weathering, all of your builds seem to have mass and wieght. Something that's not easy to accomplish. In other words, WOW! David G. tiking
Another build to be added to my roster: Been working on this for some time now and still got a little brushing up and small details to add before I am satisfied. The inspiration for this little vignette comes from a photo I had seen on the net. I think it was taken in Afghanistan. So far this is my interpretation of such a scene of an IED Humvee attack; The name of the dio would be announced after I decide on the figures: Here is the pic from which I got my inspiration: Edited June 7, 2012 by tiking
