But at the end, which one would give the best finish for a rat rod? Salt technique,hairspray, wearhering, sophisticated finishes??? If so, try spraying the Testors rust a little on the dry side, then a mist coat of flat black to add some depth. I've done that in the past, turns out very nasty, in a good sense. This. Plus, after you review all of them you can pick and choose some methods and mix them with others, or leave stuff out. I use the rubber cement method but without the salt. Although I plan to do it that way eventually. I also havent even used my dremel yet to make rusty holes... havent dared to try that yet. Soon...
