I cut out the kit grille (pin vise drilling and dremel), and epoxied the Model Car Garage p.e. grille behind the shell. I also prayed a lot that the shell would stay intact the whole time I was butchering it up. Installing a billet grille in my 1/1 truck was easier! As for his concerns about a bird potentially ruining his photo sessions...think about it. Some guys agonize for hours about how to get that kind of realisim. Roll with it!
