Well, after 10 long years, I'm finally back into this hobby.
Little back story. I used to build model cars back in 8th grade, but I never dabbled with painting them. I never took it seriously and would up just putting the models together with white, unpainted parts and the decals. I was too young and artistically challenged then. Plus, all the places that used to carry model cars stopped carrying them. My parents were against buying ANYTHING online (old timers. Afraid of getting hacked nearly instantly.) Now I've grown up a bit, and a Hobby Lobby opened near me. I told my fiancee we're going. Lucky, she has her own hand-made craft business so it was right up her alley.
Picked up some paints and a few models. '67 Corvette Convertible, '68 Firebird (Foose Design) and while it's not a car, picked up a Skill 3 U.S.S Constitution from Revell.
SAD WARNING: My father was working on the same exact U.S.S. Constitution before he passed away back in 2006. I never had the heart to work on it after since he was always picky about how it looked, and I never thought it would look the way he wanted it. It sat around for a few years before my Mother and I decided to toss it. I will be building that for him.
Since I'm not paranoid about buying online. Do you have any site recommendations for models/supplies?
