JollySipper
I have this idea to take the engine and suspension from the "Uptown" Charger and put it under an AMT '71 Charger. Does the suspension in the Uptown kit sit high to clear the large tires in that kit? Also, would the Lindberg Charger be a better donor even though it's 1:24? This will be my first major kit bash, so any and all help is greatly appreciated!
JollySipper
I maybe could use the Revell '09 Challenger for suspension and engine? It's 1/25 and more detailed than the Uptown kit.....
JollySipper
Does anyone have any words of advice for me on this build? I have the '71 Charger kit already, but I'm still not sure what would be the best donor kit for the engine and suspension. A full-on pro-touring car is what I'm going for. This build may be a bit above my skill level, but that's how we learn, right? Thanks for any and all help!
gluebomb
It is probably not going to just "bolt on" you will have to do some heavy modding. I don't have either kit so this is just an assumption.
Jantrix
Until you have both kits in hand, there's no way to advise you. I would get a 6.1 L Challenger kit and see how things pan out.
