  1. Hello, Truck Modelers! I'm going to give this a try; but I was wondering if this was actually viable. I understand the visual differences between the C-900 & the c-9000. But that is as far as my knowledge base of real trucks go. For instance: What is the actual difference in hauling capability between the Trucks with only one rear tire set up in the back as opposed to two? I'm going to need alot of assistance on this one. TIA
  2. Well, after what you guys have said and some persistent dredging up of some old posts, with/without pics, I'm goin' to Toledo for a few days! I'm not sure who's more excited, me or my wife!?
  3. Thank you all very much! I really appreciate all of your time to answer my questions. You've been a great help!
  4. I'm used to going to local shows around the Metro Detroit area. For the first time, in a very long time, my slate is clear around the time of the Toledo show. Tell me your impressions. How many days is it? What is the vendor selection like? (Does Mr. Holthaus bring his treasures there?) I've heard good things in the past; but as the economy has soured and the local shows have gotten smaller, I don't know if this show has been affected as well. Generally speaking, I would like to know if it is truly worth the trek out there. TIA
  5. I normally build factory stock and am working on a '32 Ford rod as we speak. Never applying decals on a body too often, is it ok to spray automotive clear over them. What are the pros and cons (if any) to different clears over decals. TIA
  6. BTW thanks again for all of the useful tips! So quickly as well! I wanted to start playing while on vaction this week: between errands and duties. You guys are the best!
  7. Now I understand. Revell's frame is good for current chassis components. Rep. & Min. is good for stock and retro. Revell's need reveal brought down for fenderless. Rep. & Min. is already done. So, if I'm going with a fenderless, quick and dirty, fun build just use the kit parts. Thanks for straightening me out. Now I've got some frame rails to clean up.
  8. Alright. I'm about ready to open and build this new Ford coupe. Then I go and read for the umpteenth time, that the frame is "inaccurate". Probably never hearing this, I'd never have given it a second thought or notice. However, being fairly retentive, and building mainly factory "stock". I'd like to know for my own benefit, without purchasing a Rep and Min "corrected" frame. What the differences actually are and what it entails to clean them up. I understand about removing the mold lines and general cleaning up of the kit frame. I just want to know what Henry Ford would "frown" at if he were to see it. TIA
  9. Everyone's always sharing and I'm always reaping the benefits. Guess it's time contribute a little myself. Enjoy, hope I get this link in right. http://public.fotki.com/Myrealcar/woodward-dream-crui/
  10. That is sweet! Love the color combo! Can't wait to see more!
