My brother-in-law lives in Wayne and wife from Patterson so it's almost like home .. and I've never been to one! Mr. Metallic Posted April 10, 2009 Share Posted April 10, 2009 Well, my family is driving out to Orange County for an Easter vacation to see my mom and brother. I had forgotten that the NNL East had moved from late March to April. So, I was standing at work last week and realized that i might actually be able to make the show. I rushed home and looked up the date, sure enough! if I can convince my wife to stay an extra day I will be able to go! I haven't been to one since I moved in 2002, so i am super excited. if you've never been before you should definitely try, it's the greatest model car show anywhere! hope to see some of you there! I SURE didn't give it up for lead ... not one chopped top in that time! Actually, had a very long abstinence from 1962 till 1992 when I tried to get my son interested in modeling. That only got me back into it and was amazed at how the whole thing had changed from 1962 and sewing thread plug wires! I actually completed about a dozen kits in a 2 or 3 year span!!!! I don't know what caused this last 15 year famine .. just other things like work and family I guess. Now that I have retired (!!!!!!!!) I'm back in it and loving it more! Hope to run into some of you all there .. it sure sounds like it will be full! I'll assume the clubs might have areas staked out where all the Old F*** modelers here will be getting shots of oxygen. These forums just crack me up! hmmmmmmmm... he hates modeling...! A car person? .. on his first car at an oil change the mechanic commented that he couldn't change the oil.. there WAS none!
