Art Anderson
Hmmm! Now I gotta knock apart the Danbury '33 Pierce Silver Arrow I snagged at the HMCA show in Indy back in May, correct its sins, give it the correct "Century Of Progress World's Fair" paintjob> Hmmm, what a concept! High octane
This is an interesting addition to the forum as I also collect die-cast cars (Mints) as well as build plastic. Also some die-cast drag cars too.
Pete J.
Here is one that I redid a year ago for a customer. Anyone who thinks redoing diecast is easy, has never tried it. The thick paint hid a ton of file marks. It took a lot of work to get rid of those and all the other details that my customer wanted. Edited June 9, 2012 by Pete J. sjordan2
Great job on the MG. What did you use for the side trim?
Pete J.
Great job on the MG. What did you use for the side trim? Thanks to all for your comments. Well, after I busted the original into little pieces taking it out, I used Evergreen half round strip painted with alcad chrome. I think it came out pretty good if I do say so myself. Sorry I can't post any more photos. These are about the extent of what I kept. Edited June 12, 2012 by Pete J.

sjordan2
I like the new diecast section, but I would hope that metal kit builders would be given the leeway to post in On the Workbench without being moved to this forum. I share the point of view that a build is a build, regardless of the material in the kit.
