k357
This is a replica of the truck that I drove when I was with the Carnival back in the 80's... It's built from an AMT K123 that I got in a trade... The Yellow box behind the cab represents a deisel power plant... Paint is Plastikote GM Dark Blue, the stripes are pinstriping tape.... Thanks for lookin!!!! mrglubaum
Nice builds! I don't think I've ever seen anyone build carnie trucks before! Are you going to build the whole show? That would be quite the diorama!
k357
Thanks Lee!!!! I built a whole fleet representing the trucks that we had... I built a funhouse tralier for this one, but tht's probably gonna be the only one, they take up ALOT of room.... This one won a Model of the Month contest at another site,I didn't put up a pic of the rig with the trophy, so as not to be in bad taste.... jlee1615
My folks owned a 7-8 games and a corn dog trailer up until I was about twelve, then we ran away and joined a town...I have the 1/16th scale 1975 GMC from highway 61 and have been thinking about scratch building a box and possum belly for it, I also think a scratch built set of diggers to pull behind it would look pretty sweet. Neat to see a show truck
