Mackvision Posted April 26, 2014 Author Share Posted April 26, 2014 Thanks guys! it's coming back to me slowly but surely! still quite a bit to do,i wasn't at all satisfied with the way the "fender extensions" looked,so I did some bodywork on the hood for a more one piece look. Cappy,I did the gauge bezels using Testors Chrome Silver (drybrushed) and then did the back faces with Flat black craft paint,then I carefully scraped away the paint from the dials and needles with an X-Acto knife,next step was to add some Neon green (also craft paint) to the numerals,Neon red to the needles with a sharpened toothpick. Then a dab of clear epoxy to seal everything up. I invested in a good amount of craft paints in various colors,personally I like the stuff for certain things,its cheap,goes on nice,and very forgiving with any mishaps!...............................Mark Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I am now starting to get some materials together for my White-Freightliner C.O.E project. Some fantastic work on this site! and some really good ideas and tips too! Personally I prefer the "real" looking working truck themes,but we sure have some talented custom guys as well!
