  1. Wow! You forgot? That's a great conversion, with excellent black paint! Very subtle and VERY nicely done! May I have it?
  2. Thanks GBK! You asked about the graphics on my '32 on another forum. The fine pinstripe decals are from "The Last Detail", and they are no longer in business. I did hear that someone else picked up their line, but I have no idea who it is. The trunk pinstriping art is from Microscale's line of Pinewood Racer, waterslide decals. These are fairly new (within four months), and I think the part number is PD-51. I clear coated the deck lid to seal the graphic, but the rest of the model has no clear on it. Airbrushing is the absoulute best way to go, IF you have the proper equipment. I do (finally and fortunately).
  3. It is Tamiya purple, although they call it lavender. I wanted something a little darker for purple, so I applied it over Tamiya's matte black.
  4. The interior is out of the box from Revell. Entirely. But I did use Scale Motorsports "boomerang" pattern clear decal sheet over the pleated portions of the door panels and seat for a little visual distraction. Thanks for the nice compliments about my build. Always appreciated.
  5. The paint is Tamiya rattle can "lavender" (purple) over a black base coat. Application was half rattle can and half airbrush. The entire flathead engine is from Revell's '32 sedan kit, including the intake manifold and carbs. The "horn" type air cleaners on top of the carbs are from an old Revell die cast kt of the AG '32 five window coupe. I'm glad you like it, and thanks for looking! It was a bunch of fun to build!

We'll get to that eventually.
  7. Well now. Gregg has figured out a way to "delete" any questionable language on the posts. Let's see... ###### poop ###### pee dookie
  8. Well ######! That's just too daggone cool!
  9. Pretty daggone nifty, GBK! All of the various elements mesh extremely well! You have the "eye", my friend!
  10. I have most of the '32 five window in paint, and it's shiny! I'll try to get some pictures of various painted parts, if the weather cooperates this weekend. Think purple.
  11. Thanks for your nice feedback! Look a little harder, and you'll find valve stems on the front and rear rims. They actually turned out to be a little too big, but I'll fix that with my upcoming Revell 5-window build. The engine and frame are almost done, and I'm waiting for the new kit.
  12. I've seen your '40's style '29 roadster, and that paint ain't too shabby either! Black paint is difficult at best, and I'm not sure I'll do it again any time soon. Plus, the magazine guys have a hard time shooting black models. Thanks for the nice comments on my Victoria, and I'm looking forward to your future builds. You have the eye and the talent for traditional model builds!
  13. Pretty daggone impressive! I like the idea of gold on the body, and the rest of us can't wait to see your finished model! VERY NICE!
  14. Revell has a program for dealers that allows them to receive new kits in advance of distribution. The catch is that the dealers will receive only two to three of each new release. If you want that five-window, you'll need to get your reservation in with your LHS now! Distribution will get the kit at the end of July, for shipment to dealers in early August...
  15. Nice chop and cowl graft! If and when I do a '29, it'll be a roadster that I've started and stopped more than once over the years. We'll see. Nice job on yours!
