  1. Figured I would participate. I scored an original issue Ice "T", and a 1986 issue T'Rantula and Beer Wagon off eBay for $22.50. Nor bad if I do say so myself.
  2. If you are looking for info soldering brass tube check out what some the guys who build scale RC Crawlers are doing. They are commonly called "scalers" and there is a plethora of how to vids on YouTube!
  3. Something to keep in mind herew. And I could be off base. However, a lot of recalls start out at as "TSB's", which are meant to be quietly taken care if when a vehicle is brought in for routine service. A bug lack of dealer return maintenance can snowball into bigger problems (This was the case with my 98 GTP). A lot of the recalls could stem from a TSB. Again I could also be wrong.
  4. They have the LS7. Can't believe nobody carries the LS1, or even the vortec from the Revell Silverado!
  5. Just like the title says, does anyone here on abroad do castings to order? I have 2 engine/trans combos I would like re-popped. One is an LS1/T-56 and the other is an LS1/4L60E. If anyone is interested in making these in would more than happily send you the engines. They are built but a pro could easily disassemble them. Please let me know! Thanks!
  6. Being a GM fan and having been raised in a GM family I can think of a few places they cut corners in the S series. If you're ever looking for parts for your truck let me know! Lots of 98+ S series vehicles in the local u pull it. Back on topic. Going with what I said before its painful to see this but I knew it was coming. I started noticing a lot of bad stuff on the newer vehicles. Most of the problems seem to stem from the stuff that's manufactured in Mexico and China. But don't quote me on that. I've never been a fan of out sourcing, and this kind of cements my thoughts.
  7. Thanks everybody! I didn't take notice, but is there a requests section here for the odd chance we might be looking for something in particular?
  8. WRC cars seem like fun build projects. Yours looks amazing! Especially love the brakes!
  9. Love the color! The olds Mopars had some of the toughest looking steelies I've ever seen.
  10. Hello MCM Forum members! Not to good at this stuff so jump right into it. My name is Dane, I've been building models off and on for the last 17yrs, started at age 7 and I am 24 at the time of this posting. Joined the board after a few random searches landed me here with the best results. I've looked for a good model forum for a few years but they all seemed full of elitists, and I've not noticed that here. So anyways I've always tended to builf new kits but a friend of mine recently bought out someones collection and there was a pile of OOP kits there and I ended up with some. So if someone knows of a good thread on stripping a glue bomb pleae point me in the right direction. Anyways before I ramble on some more, thanks for reading my thread and Im excited to read and participate in the various sub forums!
