Revell 2012 Fall New Releases Announced

Recommended Posts

Looking forward to the Foose '68 Firebird & '67 Coronet R/T, they look pretty sweet. They reissued the '99 Mustang Cobra, '93 SVT Cobra, '85 Camaro Z28, '71 GTX, and '69 Charger Daytona too (in addition to some others). Is the Mini Cooper a new tool?

Yes, the Mini and Ferrari 599 GTO are new Revell of Germany tools. Alas, the rest are reissues...I wonder if there will be new parts w/ the Foose kits. Nice to see the Buick GNX back (was never reissued), though the photo they have is of a GN..

Lots of cool stuff coming, but I have to ask... don't you think they're about six years too late jumping on the Foose bandwagon?

From my IHOBBY notes, if I jotted it down right, Foose apparently got interested based on the Gearz contest and what is being done with Gearz Rat Roaster. They were just getting into discussions with him at time (again, if my notes are correct). I was so intent to be sure all the new stuff got listed and photoged, plus get the questions posed here answered, that this other stuff was secondary.

But, what happened to the '77 GMC truck?

It got pushed back a few months, I think tell July.

They are some kits that I know I will be getting, Both of the new Ferrari kits, the Mini, 93 Mustang Cobra, 85 Camaro, 71 GTX,87 GNX, 70 Buick

I'd like to have seen more new tools announced, but with 4 new tools from last fall's announcement still coming this summer, I guess it's understandable that this fall is thin. Of the new reissue announcements, I can see getting the GNX (I built one back when it first came out, have an idea for another), and maybe the Foose kits if they have new, interesting wheels and other parts. I already have multiples of most of the other reissues I'd be interested in.

I agree, I was more excited with Japan Hobby Show release's , I know some of those are re release's as well

The Foose kits have a lot of potential is they are fairly faithful to the renderings. I'd hate to see them be reissues with different wheels and decals. I'll be getting the coronet for sure, specifically for the wheels if they are like the picture. I've got a project they'd be perfect on!

Is anybody else having trouble viewing the .pdf file?

Yes , my computer doesn't like it either but my work one does , it's been happening with a lot of pdf's after an adobe update .....

I'm hanging out to see the mini , it's a few mm bigger than the Tamiya one so should be true scale (the Tamiya mini is smaller than 1:24 ...) .

Did not know that, and was thinking about getting that one, I am pretty sure its going to be the ROG one

I only found out while doing a scratch built model of one of my cars (Nota Fang , mini based 2 seat sports car) , I built the chassis from scaled measurements from the 1:1 chassis and then found the motor and subframe were a little bit smaller ... Checked the rest of the car and it's smaller than 1:24 :(
