This is my 60 Ford Starliner RestoMod I worked on back this past winter. I combined AMT's 60 Ford Starliner with the engine, running gear and suspension from Revell's 2010 Mustang GT 500. Not sure where I got the wheels from now. I opened the doors and did a lot of aftermarket and scratch-building and detailing work on it as well.. The paint is Tamiya's british green and silver leaf with clear pearl and then testors clear laquar over all that. There were a few flaws here and there, but it turned out ok for me.

Very nice work!!!!!!!! I hated the car when I was a kid....now I'd own one....funny how things change!

I'm with you Dave. When I was younger, I thought the '60 Ford was one of the ugliest cars Ford ever produced. Now I love them! Then again, I hated asparagus Too! :) Fantastic job Jim!! I'm not a big fan of customs, but this one is "custom" without showing it too much. :) Steve

Jim, that is a beautiful job you did on that Ford......the paint is an unusual combination that works really well, the under hood and chassis detailing is spot on. I open the doors on just about everything I build so I love to see other guys do it too........so on that point I have one small trick for you that will improve the look of the door opening job. If you grind down the inner profile of the open door, the door skin will have a much more realistic look. When I look at the picture with the door open and see the unrealistic thickness of the outer door panel, it just hurts the look of the build............you obviously put in the time and added so much detail so that one little point could be the difference. Either way, this is a beautiful, and different build.
