  1. I went to the three Hobby Lobbys in my area today. The first one was marking down the kits while I was standing there. The enclosed pic. The second one was already cleaned out but I did see an open shelf labeled amt 60 Ford pickup with trailer. The third one has yet to clearance but hope to catch it. I also hope they get the 63 Ford pickup as well as the Warlock.
  2. I'll be watching. I bought one with the same idea and it looks your of to great start.
  3. This is an older thread but I will put in my two cents. The 2x aluminum looks as good as the Tamiya, I recently sprayed both. It's also a good base for clears and metallics. I don't like the new grey primer because of drying time. The same with there gloss paints, satin being better and flat being best. The clears are about opposite with gloss looking and drying the best. These are enamels with 2 day cure windows but the glosses can take a week or months to not be tacky and a dehydrator makes it worse. This is my recent experience with these. Feel free to expand or share your recent experience.
  4. I recieved my subscription copy today in the poly and looks to be in great condition. I feel bad for you guys with the shipping issues. I guess I'll wait a couple months from shipping next time. It doesn't speak well of the current postal system. Thanks for all that you guys do.
  5. I recieved a replacement copy today, thank you. I wish I knew why USPS is not getting them to me. I used to have a subscription to Racer X that I canceled about 10 yrs ago, I was getting half of my subscription and the ones that I received were mangled. I hope it doesn't start getting back to that. Thanks again
  6. Thanks everyone for the kind responses. I don't currently have a big project planned but will spend the winter trying to finish other stalled builds. Then who knows. Thanks again, Steve
  7. That's a great idea, I will look into it.
  8. Thanks. It's about 13 1/2" bumper to bumper, 7" wide and 9" to top of flag. I looked a little but haven't found one yet.
  9. It took some time but I finally got this done. The link to the build, thanks and enjoy. Steve
  10. It's a bittersweet day, the Gigahorse is done. When I started this I didn't imagine it would take 8 years and over 1200 hours to complete but I guess that's part of the process of building something like this. It was a lot of fun to research and fabricate and has greatly improved my skills. Thanks for the support and encouragement along the way. There will be a lot more pictures in the Under Glass section soon. Steve The link to Under Glass
  11. So after seven hours of searching I found the exhaust pieces safely wrapped up with pieces from another project. Not sure how I did that but glad I found them. I'll share some photos of this before the body gets added. If all goes well I hope to have this done today.
  12. Hello fellow modelers and followers. Last Thursday I decided I was going to get this assemble. I added the tailights and got the glass in, one was donated to carpet gremlins and had to make another. Things were looking good until I couldn't find my wraped exhaust pieces. I've torn the hobby room apart and still no luck, don't you hate when that happens. If I can't find them I guess I will have to build them again but I am trying to get this finished. Thanks for all the support through this project.
  13. I like everything about this build and it looks like your off to a good start. Following
  14. Inspiring progress with your concept and 3d work. My computer skills are barely better than a monkey randomly hitting keys on a keyboard but I enjoy seeing what others can accomplish. Good stuff.
