Mr. Can Am Garage
Seeing as I'm fresh out of Bare Metal Foil, that means no muscle cars till I get some so it's time for a tuner car basically because most modern cars have little or no chrome trim. Revell's '99 Mitsubishi Eclipse full glue kit in comparison to their metal body kit of the same car. The main body colour is DupliColor Metallic Charcoal. I've been working on it for about a week now just been too busy to show you what I've been doing. The accent colour is DupliColor Ford CD Silver Metallic which happens to be the same colour as what's on my 1:1 Focus. If you think the tail lights look good here, just wait until you see them now. This has changed drastically since this photo was taken. I decided it need a bit more colour so I've added some blue accents in a few spots. Tamiya German Grey paint works pretty good as glue for the medium grey flocking. The mechanics are complete. AWD at that! The lighter colour is Tamiya Flat Aluminium, the darker colour is their Metallic Grey. Still got two more colours to add to the interior. Should have more tonight. Mr. Can Am Garage
look'n good there, John. Seems to me in the pics O'l Jackson's being a bit stand-offish on this build,,,he must be more of a hardcore musclecar guy, is he? That would explain it, wouldn't it? Mr. Can Am Garage
I promised an update later today and here it is. Still working on detailing the speakers. Got at least one more colour to go on them. The rest of the interior looks good enough to me. This is take 2 on the tailights. I had originally coloured them with Sharpies and they looked just fine till I hit the back of the lenses with silver paint. It bled right through the Sharpies so off it came. It's all paint now. Live and learn.
Wildrice
Good looking tuner. I like the color on it. Interior looks like a real car.
Mr. Can Am Garage
The interior is finished. Looks finished, doesn't it? I just couldn't resist using the kit provided decals.

Zoom Zoom
That looks really cool! Though I admit I like the un-decaled look better, but the are pretty neat...would make great graphics for a real race car.

You know, during a weak moment I might agree with you Bob BUT I bought this kit because of the decals so I'm using them. Finished pics for tonight. S10man
Nice work John. Definitely one of the better built and tasteful rice burners I've seen in a long time. Bill

Mr. Can Am Garage
You guys aren't the only one who thought it was nice. I got this yesterday at my local contest. Translated it reads, 13th Modelestrie 2006. 2nd place Sport Compact. BTW, this is the first time I've ever placed at my local contest. I just gotta figure out who Jackson bribed so I could bring the award home.
Zoom Zoom
Congrats! Well deserved. Trophy is kind of cool even if a bit macabre.
