Model Cars Magazine Forum

It's about time I asked this question.

Ok Gregg & Jairus... I've been meaning to ask this for a long time;

In the description of the "under Glass" section it says "This forum is for posting finished (pau) models in all their glory, just like a display case!"

What the heck does (pau) mean? I googled it even, and here's what I found;

1. It's a city in france

2. Punjab Agricultural University, in Ludhiana India

3. Population Activities Unit, whickh is part of the United nations.

But I can't find anything refering to finished model kits.

Darin, chill out!

That is a term that Gregg uses a lot around me and it means DONE! But he uses it ALL the freeking time!!! Most of the people we are with have no idea what he is talking about so... it is gibberish to them. It would be the same if I were to go to a Taco bell and order in Kilgon for heavens sake.

Only funny if we had all seen the movie I suppose...

I figured everyone had seen it. it's a classic, but the quote come from a scene where joe pecsi' character is busting a guys chops whe he says "you're funny" It's a very funny scene, and I recomend the movie highly.

Ya know, I just thought of something. My good fellas quote just worked the same in real life, like it did in the movie...

here is the whole scene (edited because this is a family board);

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Henry Hill: You're a pistol, you're really funny. You're really funny.

Tommy DeVito: What do you mean I'm funny?

Henry Hill: It's funny, you know. It's a good story, it's funny, you're a funny guy.

Tommy DeVito: what do you mean, you mean the way I talk? What?

Henry Hill: It's just, you know. You're just funny, it's... funny, the way you tell the story and everything.

Tommy DeVito: [it becomes quiet] Funny how? What's funny about it?

Anthony Stabile: Tommy no, You got it all wrong.

Tommy DeVito: Oh, oh, Anthony. He's a big boy, he knows what he said. What did ya say? Funny how?

Henry Hill: Jus...

Tommy DeVito: What?

Henry Hill: Just... ya know... you're funny.

Tommy DeVito: You mean, let me understand this cause, ya know maybe it's me, I'm a little ****** up maybe, but I'm funny how, I mean funny like I'm a clown, I amuse you? I make you laugh, I'm here to ******* amuse you? What do you mean funny, funny how? How am I funny?

Henry Hill: Just... you know, how you tell the story, what?

Tommy DeVito: No, no, I don't know, you said it. How do I know? You said I'm funny. How the **** am I funny, what the **** is so funny about me? Tell me, tell me what's funny!

Henry Hill: [long pause] Get the **** out of here, Tommy!

Tommy DeVito: [everyone laughs] Ya ************ I almost had him, I almost had him. Ya stuttering ***** ya. Frankie, was he shaking? I wonder about you sometimes, Henry. You may fold under questioning.

As you can tell by all the asterisks this isn't a Movie to watch with the kids, but it is really a good movie with lots of well developed characters and good actors. If you like Mob movies, I would say this ranks right up there with "The Godfather" and "Casino"
