I want to build the Sonauto entry that won the GT class in 1970 (the 914's very first appearance at Le Mans) and finished 6th overall! afx Posted July 29, 2014 Author Share Posted July 29, 2014 (edited) Here is the completed engine minus the exhaust. Porsche ran twin plugs and twin coils on their race engines, yep 14 wires coming out of the distributor. The Weber Carburetors and the trans-axle come from the HRM trans-kit. All other parts are supplied from the Fujimi kit. The kit I took the engine from was missing the fan. Since the front of the engine cannot be seen on the completed model I substituted some flat stock to replicate the fan. The transaxle is from a Fujim's Enthusiast Porsche 911 kit. I modified it by shortening it slightly and relocating the mounting bracket to the top of the gearbox.
