Can they back up?

Recommended Posts

a set up like that is mostly a terminal to terminal run. not much backing up. once at the terminal the unit is separated then back into the dock one at a time by a yard jockey or reconnected to another rig headed to another destination. but once at a truck show/rodeo I did see a driver back up a set of doubles. but never a set of triples.

I agree with Clayton,a set of doubles CAN be backed up,not the easiest thing in the world to do,but not imposible either. I drove a wrecker when I was younger, and have actually backed a tractor/trailer behind the wrecker into many a shop....................................Mark

Here's doubles backing. The last 2 trucks are doubles. The last truck Tim Alhorns did an article about that company in this month's MCM issue.

Here's a video of what I drive everday, in a working competition. Actually the year of this video I was suppose to be there, in that contest but the truck had engine issues and was in the shop.
