fantacmet
So as some may know, my Jeep was totaled a bit over a month ago. Well after I got the $$ back from insurance and put a down payment on another truck(2001 Ford Expedition 4x4 this time), I of course had some $$ left over. Well since I haven't had a vacation in 4 years me and the wife went to the coast overnight. Well since today(the 12th) was my birthday and I did better at spending(or not spending) money at the coast, I stopped and bought myself a birthday present. This nice C-600 City Delivery Pepsi truck. Big question is, do I do it up in the Pepsi markings, or do I make my own decals(which I can do), and turn it into a Consolidated Freight rig. CF was started up here in Oregon where I live, and I've always liked the markings. Just to my knowledge aside from this nobody makes a rig that is readily turned into a CF rig, if you want to be accurate. The other thing is I can't find any CF C series trucks that have the lift on the back(I think the lift looks cool).
disabled modeler
I like the idea of the CF rig myself....old school trucks rule.
fantacmet
The only real issue I might see is the side door, the rollup door, and the lift. I really want to build the lift. I suppose it's possible that CF had a rig like that. I know they used a few of these old Fords, of course old isn't entirely accurate since Ford made this bodystyle LONG after it was outdated. 1990 I think it was. Entirely possible they would still be in use today by CF if CF were still around. I gotta get it figured before I paint the chassis and suspension as CF was Red and the Pepsi truck would be black.
