topher5150
Would the rims from a Corvette C5-R fit on a 2007 Shelby with out much for modifications?
Ace-Garageguy
I don't know the bolt patterns or offsets on the real cars without doing more research than I have time for, but if your question is whether-or-not it could work in full-scale, it COULD. The C5-Rs I'm familiar with use a true racing wheel with one big center nut to retain it on the hub. There's no reason why a competent engineer / fabricator / machinist couldn't design and machine something to allow the C5-R wheels to be used on the Mustang. It wouldn't be cheap, but it's possible (though it COULD require fabricating custom suspension uprights, etc. to get it all to work). For a model, it's entirely plausible. topher5150
I am doing it on a modle, but I'm looking to see if it would be a pretty close fit in the wheel well without having to do a whole ot of hacking.
Rob Hall
Probably...IIRC, the C5-R kit wheels are pretty small in diameter compared to the Shelby kit wheels, though. I've looked at building a Trans Am series style race car from the Revell '10 Camaro using C6-R wheels and tires, chassis parts, etc and the race car wheels look so tiny w/ the stock bodywork... topher5150
I wanted to put some "sporty" looking rims on it and had a spare set that came with the C5-R that I built
Ace-Garageguy
For what it's worth, these are C5-R TIRES on different wheels, under a chopped '70 Chevelle. If your build ends up low enough, the large wheel openings on the Mustang might look good. Only way to tell is to mock it all up.
topher5150
So Corvette rim fits the shelby tire other than having to trim about an 1/8 of an inch off the back. If i go with the vette wheel im thinking of painting it with a dark metal color paint. Like a dark graphite or somthing similar
