ra7c7er
Really cool. It's hard to find junk yards like that now-a-days.

whale392
The 85-86 Mustang, the 68-69 Dodge truck, and the 61 Plymouth Fury are very interesting to me (too bad they are beyond saving!).
my name is nobody
pretty cool. there is an old wrecking yard just north of my place. the guy who owns it had the wrecking business in this region for about forty years. you should see some of the cars out in that yard. of course, the old cars here dont have near the rust of the ones in your photographs. Rob Hall
Interesting...rust never sleeps. That gray Mustang LX reminds me of the '86 I had in college (except mine was shiny w/o red trim).

Joe Handley
Huh, I wonder which rail road used the Chevy High Rail............
Chuck Most
Not sure- that truck sat out in front of a locksmith shop on M-57 for YEARS. Wondered where it went, then stumbled across it that day at the yard.
Joe Handley
Looks like it may have been bought from the road or leasing company that originally owned it then repainted and had the piss beat out of it
promo55
I think that Chevy Hi Rail was used by Burlington-Northern railroad. That is their colors and it looked like their emblem that had been on the doors. The truck is a 1980 model. Neat stuff. I love junkyards and consider them amusement parks for adults! Casey
i wonder whatever happened to (if they still exist) SJS Details' Champ pickup molds? That would be one body I'd like to see again.
horsepower
Boy, you can be sure that this yard isn't in our lovely state of California, even if it wasn't a yard, & was on private property, the EPA would be all over it, & the CHP would show up & want to see paperwork for each & every car there. They spot these private stash deals from the air, & send in an officer to investigate, gotta love it, aint beaurocracy sweet?

mikemodeler
Chuck- i have seen some of your posts of your personal collection of old 1:1 vehicles and I am confused. Is that a junkyard or your backyard? Nice pictures and a shame that some great pieces of car history have been left to rot in the countryside.
