"NEW" altered Tee body parts pack kit

The more I look at the parts pack chassis, for my newly acquired parts pack T body, the more I decided I need to buy another AMT Double Dragster kit. So I just ordered one for of eBay. My first Double Dragster kit, I built the Fiat and Streamline dragster. I really want to build a version of the twin engine dragster. So, now owning the parts pack T gave me excuse to buy another one. Still need to figure out what to do with the parts pack chassis?

From what I've seen of the Parts Pack competition chassis it never looked all that promising for the Parts Pack Competition T... But the Fiat chassis is a straight fit, no problem.

Did you buy the "Tin Box" edition Double Dragster or the standard cardboard box issue? With the Tin Box you with a duplicate chrome tree that will allow you, with some additional styrene stock, to build a second dragster because the extra tree is the one with the dragster suspension bits including the quick change (as well as, IIRC , the chrome bits for the twin Chevies). From the Tin Box, between my Parts Pack Altered, a Fiat made with the Double Dragster roll bar and scratch built chassis and parts box front suspension, a twin Chevy rail and a competition coupe using a parts box Hemi and resin aftermarket body, I got four cars done. It was a challenge I set myself...

I've got a feature on the Cotton T in an old Rod & Custom, and a color pic of it in one of the Street Rod Pictorials. I always thought that was a cool car, sitting so low. The pics I have look like the ones you just posted, except without the top.

Very cool car! B)

Digging up this old thread to ask; does anyone know the wheelbase of the AMT Parts Pack frame shown above?

Not sure of the wheelbase but that frame was made to be easy to adjust.  To get a longer wheelbase, cut behind the transmission crossmember but ahead of the rear radius rod attachment points, and lengthen with sections of aluminum tubing.  The cut ends of the frame must be filed to slip into the tubing, and the tubing sections can be polished to match up with the rest of the chassis.

I don't know what the wheelbase is. Have never built this chassis, but hope to sometime soon.

On a somewhat related note, it looks to me like the AMT Parts Pack T body was designed to drop directly not necessarily on this frame, but on the Fiat frame in the Double Dragster kit. I'm planning to try that soon, too.

Yep, it does. I used both on this build.
