59 Impala
I have to build this one as a race car cause all of the interior is missing. I have no idea where it went. The kit is over 40 years old and they could have gotten lost way back when. It is going to be powered by the 348 from the AMT 58 Chevy and the front part of the floor board is also from the 58 from the parts box. Anyway here is a pic of what it looks like now. I also had to repair the front end parts so the wheels would be able to turn. I had to scratch build the floor and part of the steering parts for the front end. Thanks fer lookin. 59 Impala
I've got a little more accomplished and here are some pics fer ya. The dash. I used Alclad for the frame and painted the dials flat white and then used Future over that. The interior is finished except for a tach. I used the headers from the 66 Nova pro stock I think. They were in the parts box and I needed them and here they are. These are the mufflers that I'm gonna use after I finish painting them. I had to polish the roof because there was a little dust on it and then I just decided to do the rest of the car. Almost finished so stay tuned. Wagoneer81
Good looking ride! To answer your question, I think a few well placed contingency/sponsor decals would look ok.
59 Impala
Thanks guys. Does anyone know what class this would run in? Chevy 348 ci/350 hp, 4 speed with slicks. I have no clue of what class it would run in. This is early 60's period. Dan
