  1. The Hands wheels were used on Corvair Fitch Sprints and Sunbeam Tigers. The only source for them in scale that I know of is the original 1967 Corvair Monza AMT kit. The wheels in the AMT parts pack are similar but the spokes are flat not curved. These flat wheels I think are in the AMT Corvair funny car kit or one of the other funny car kits. The Corvair Club newsletter article mentions the various copies that were available. I've got a few 1:1 sets and my 1966 Corsa has the 13" Offy copies on it. I also have a couple sets of 14" 4 lug versions that will go on my early ( 1960-1964) Corvairs. About 10 years ago there was a reproduction run of the Hands wheels in 13" 4 lug and 5 lug. I think these were done in cooperation with the Sunbeam Tiger owners as well as the major Corvair parts supplier. I do have a set of these reproduction wheels as well. I've been searching for a long time to find a set of 14" or 15" 5lug 4.75 bolt circle to use on my 1965/66 Corvairs with no luck.
  2. Very Nice Build Randy! Just picked up this kit and would like to know if you painted the body and if so what color did you use on it?
  3. Really Nice Corvair! Love It.
  4. Nice Job! Would love to do some unpaved road rallies in a full size of it.
  5. Revell drag version of the Cobra. Baldwin Motion?
  6. Always will have a liking for the Revell 1/16 funny cars. I was around 10 yrs old when these were first issued and ended up my best looking builds back then. Between the metallic molded bodies and the included wiring and plumbing they were stand outs.
  7. He also does an El Camino version, comes with the interior bucket and chassis. The couple bodies that I have are cleaner than the one in this pic. Very nice casting.
  8. It's an interesting car and yours will be fantastic as usual. I just grabbed one of the curbside resin versions and it's pretty decent. Will need to come up with exhaust outlets though.
  9. I filled out the request for the missing parts in the '30 coupe kit back in November. Did get an email confirming my request but nothing received. Did fill out the request last night for the bad Porsche body. In the instruction manuals and online there are notes that say the online request is for Europe only. US issues are to return kit to retailer. Having never received the missing parts requested last year I expected it was because of the location. Will see, I'm no good at fixing warped plastic bodies but can fix resin no problem. Porsche body looks like a case of pulled and packed before cooled rather than just packaging issue.
  10. Just opened my US boxed Targa kit that arrived yesterday. Body really badly twisted and also smushed windshield frame. Had another recent Revell release with a couple missing parts.Too bad there is no support to get missing/damaged items replaced. Revell will be getting much less of my $ until they offer support for their screw ups. It's on them - not the retailers.
  11. Very nice build, interior colors spot on. Love It!
  12. Tamiya TS34 Camel Yellow is a decent match for Kodak cars
